Jim Moore and Chris Becker have been performing together for the last eight years and have teamed up with drummer Dave Bossler and keyboardist Neil Janklow to form “Jim Moore and Funktional Soul”.

JM & FS plays an infectiously danceable blend of Funk and Soul music while always paying homage to their roots; the Blues.

Jim and Chris have opened shows for Tommy Castro, Maria Muldar, Chubby Checker, Little Charlie & the Night Cats, Chris Cain, Mitch Woods, Sugar Pie Desanto, Sonny Rhoads, Kenny Neal and Carol Fran...  to name a few.

Neil Janklow has performed with Bo Diddley, Billy Preston, Stanley Jordan, Lou Christie, Gary US Bonds, Al Wilson, Barbara Lewis, The Drifters, Platters, Coasters, Diamonds and Marvellettes.

A few of the Venues Jim has played in the bay area: The Little Fox, Biscuits and Blues, Lou’s Pier 47, HMB Brewery, JJ.s, Poor House Bistro, Old Princeton Landing, Nick’s in Pacifica, and Seahorse.
